Whats next?

Well, with my "A" race completed and mission accomplished in getting to the 70.3m World Championships on November 10, I need to plan the rest of the season and make sure that I am at my best down in Clearwater (the aim for that race is to go under 4hrs 30mins). So over the past week I have been looking at what other races and events I plan to do, here's the initial list;

June 23rd - Church Creek 40km Time Trial
July 8th - Blackwater Traverse Duathlon (World Long Distance Qualifier)
July 22nd - Silver Spring Downtown Criterium
August 4th - Catoctin 50km Trail Run
August 26th - North East Triathlon
September 2nd - Greenbelt 15km
September 9th - Delaware Diamondman Triathlon
September 29th - Great Eastern 50km Trail Run
October 7th - Bassman Triathlon
November 10th - 70.3m World Championships
November 18th - Cold Turkey 10km

You might have noticed that the Blackwater Traverse Duathlon is a qualifier for the Duathlon Long-Distance World Championships which are being held in Richmond, VA in October. Now, having never done a Duathlon (run-bike-run) I have no idea how well I can do, but it would be cool to qualify for the WC.....3 spots per age group are awarded at Blackwater, we shall see on the day! Funnily though I would be representing the USA if I were to qualify.

I also have a couple of Ultra events on the schedule and so have started to hit the trails again. I had planned on doing a 50 miler in November but in qualifying for the 70.3m WC that quashed that idea as the races are only a week apart. I will have to wait until 2008 for my first 50 miler (Bull Run in April?) and then 2009 perhaps for a 100 miler.
