Welcome to 2009....
The year has started well from a training perspective. Yesterday I got out and did some decent sprint intervals on the bike and then after watching the NHL Winter Classic in the afternoon I headed back out and did the first running hill repeats of the year. The hill repeats really helped build early season strength last year and I am pretty sure that they enabled me to run significantly quicker than I did during the 2007 season. This year they will remain an important part of the running training.
More good news is that as of Monday I will be hitting the pool for the first time in 5 weeks. I still have one remaining surgery for the moles in late January but at least I can get in a couple of weeks of swimming before then.
All in all a good start to 2009 and the quest to get to Kona!
The training ramblings of an Endurance Junkie....tend to ride my bike with the occasional swim and run.

- End of year summary for 2020. It ended up being my biggest year in a long time (since I was cycling to work in the UK) and certainly helped by not having to commute into D.C for 9 months. Now the trick will be trying to replicate in coming years as (or if) the commute returns. I definitely respond well to higher volume and that will be important as I look to some future goals. . . . #parvillacycles #IFB #strava #triathlon #swimbikerun #cycling #ultramantri #ironmantri
