I had been practising my typing over the past week and had memorized all the personal information and credit card information that I would need to fill out the online form for Ironman Lake Placid. The race was held yesterday and registration was today, both at the race site and if any slots are left, online at 12pm.....here it is 11:15am and all slots are taken for. None are left for the online entry and so I didn't need to practise after all.
So it begs the question, do I try and get in for another Mdot race for next year, such as Louisville, Wisconsin and Florida or do I leave it and attend Lake Placid in person next year and sign up at the site.....we'll see as we have a month before IM Louisville opens for registration. The other alternatives are to do a non-North American IM race. Brazil sounds like a great race to do but might be cost prohibitive, and then the European ones also sound good, Lanzarote and Nice are great locations. I have heard mixed reactions regarding IM UK.....there are plenty of options but Lake Placid would have been nice.....
