That's what I would have been saying if I swam in this pool.....
The pool is the world's largest and it is more than 1,000 yards long, covers 20 acres, has a 115ft deep end and holds 66 million gallons of water. As you can see it is based right on the sea and is in the San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, on Chile's southern coast. The pool opened up last month and is so clear that you can even see the bottom while in the 115ft deep end. The funny thing about the pool is that it actually uses the water from the adjacent sea and is therefore a salt-water pool (can't think of much worse myself and reminds me of a pool in a hotel in Miami Beach that we used to stay in....nice hotel, bad pool!)
Can you imagine doing lengths in this pool, at least you wouldn't have to practice your flip-turns very often and it would be a great aid in training yourself to sight while swimming. Just think though, you wouldn't be squeezed into a couple of lap lanes, you wouldn't have to listen to the water aerobics music, no kids lessons, no old people hogging a whole lane to do breast-stroke.....would be a bugger if you accidentally dropped your goggles in the deep end though!
