Time just seems to fly by and at the end of January there is only a short few weeks before the race season comes and hits hard. My schedule for 2011 looks like this:
March 27th - Long Course Duathlon National Championships (Birmingham, Alabama)
April 17th - Chesapeake Beach Duathlon (Chesapeake Beach, MD)
May 15th - American Zofingen (New Paltz, New York)
May 22nd - Escape from Fort Delaware (Delaware City, DE)
June 12th - Eagleman 70.3m (Cambridge, Maryland)
July 17th - Patriots Triathlon (Bath, Pennsylvania)
August 21st - Cannonman Half Triathlon (Schnellsburg, Pennsylvania)
September 11th - Ironman Wisconsin (Madison, Wisconsin)
As you can see there is a bit of duathlon focus to begin the season with the first three races all being duathlon's. The first triathlon is Fort Delaware as a tester before Eagleman. Things then settle down as the training will focus on Ironman Wisconsin toward the end of the year. Should be a good year of races and all races are one's I haven't raced before with the exception of Eagleman 70.3m.
The training ramblings of an Endurance Junkie....tend to ride my bike with the occasional swim and run.

- Still reflecting on @gravel_worlds from this past weekend. 150miles of primo gravel in Lincoln NE with 10,000ft of climbing. It was hard but I went for it and utimately paid the price in the last hour when I cracked, really cracked. Crawled to the finish just over 9hrs after starting.....but yes it was fun! . . . . . #gravelworlds #gravelride #IFB #parvillacycles #cycling #vandessel #lincoln

Hey Ian,
I was searching across the slowtwitch forums for anything regarding FFWD wheels and saw that you were sponsored by them. As of a few weeks ago, I am too. Just wanted to get an idea of what you ordered from them and why.
Thanks,
Matt
Matt,
I went with the disc and a set of F9R's. They are the deepest set that you can get and the disc is a no-brainer. If you train with power I would go with the power disc. You can't go wrong they were great wheels last year.
