Before the flurry of events in the next month I have one last quest.....to get under 17mins for the 5km. This Saturday I have my last chance of the year (based on the current schedule, anyway) at the Run For Kathy. Last year I did 17mins 3secs for my current PR and so it is certainly a possibility on this course. I have done a bit more speed work than I had last year (just prior to IMFL) and so will give it everything.
After the race my taper starts for the Duathlon World's on Sunday Oct 21st and also for the rest of the day I will be glued to the internet watching the live stream of the Ironman World Champs from Kona. [Looking for tips for next year :-)]
The training ramblings of an Endurance Junkie....tend to ride my bike with the occasional swim and run.

- Can we start planning on the race schedule for 2021? Progress is being made in the search for vaccines....lets hope so eh? Better start training just in case! . . . . #IFB #parvillacycles #unpavedpa #cyclinglife #vandessel #gravelride #cycling #ciclismo #cyclingphotos

- End of year summary for 2020. It ended up being my biggest year in a long time (since I was cycling to work in the UK) and certainly helped by not having to commute into D.C for 9 months. Now the trick will be trying to replicate in coming years as (or if) the commute returns. I definitely respond well to higher volume and that will be important as I look to some future goals. . . . #parvillacycles #IFB #strava #triathlon #swimbikerun #cycling #ultramantri #ironmantri
