I'll get the race report up shortly but just as a brief race recap, I finished Ironman Lake Placid in 10hrs 21mins for 25th in age group and 123rd overall (95th amateur).
No Kona for me this year! I knew I would need to go sub-10hrs for a spot and the 6th and final spot went at 9hr 59mins.
Disappointed......yes, as I hit all my markers until the 2nd half of the run when I kinda fell apart. I hit the 1hr swim and the 5hr 30min bike (would have been quicker without the 4min penalty) and then started the run on goal pace, the final 13miles were damning though!
Does it give me plenty of motivation for 2011.......yes!
